The Diversity Transformation Fund supports the University at Albany’s Inclusive Excellence Initiative, UACCESS (UAlbany Collaboratively Creating Excellence, Scholarship, and Success), by providing funding to faculty and staff to support new and innovative activities and initiatives that model and indicate inclusiveness as a major goal, and impact the campus community by stimulating creativity and promoting the exchange of ideas, while enriching campus life. Inclusiveness refers to the cultivation of greater opportunities to actively engage a cross-section of the campus (i.e., based on gender, race, and ethnicity) in developing and implementing activities to encourage an exchange of different ideas and perspectives.

Guidelines for submitting and a call for proposals are announced in the spring for programs to be implemented throughout the following academic year. Proposals must involve collaboration within or across departments, units, student organizations, or schools, and can be submitted by academic support units, or campus organizations. Projects may include conferences and symposia, film and speaker series, as well as many other relevant initiatives. If you have a program that will fit within these guidelines, please look for an announcement regarding this funding opportunity in the spring.  Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the Diversity Transformation Fund, please contact Dr. Tamra Minor at tminor@albany.edu.
