Residential Accomodations

Can I get my own room in the residence hall because of my disability?
You can get a medical single in the Residence Halls if you use a wheelchair, a service or guide dog or need privacy due to certain medical or psychiatric conditions. If you are interested in this accommodation you should consult either the Director of the Disability Resource Center or the Director of the Health Services to determine your eligibility. All other disabilities, including those with learning disabilities or ADD, can apply for singles or superior occupancy but will have to pay extra. These singles are subject to space availability.

What if I want a roommate?
You are allowed to have a roommate, just as any other student can have a roommate. You will be expected to use the same procedures of working with the Resident Assistant to resolve any issues that may arise. If these issues are not able to be resolved, you will have to wait until the same point in the semester, as any other student, to negotiate roommate changes.
