Mahlubi Mabizela
(South Africa)

Mahlubi Mabizela (aka Chief) works as a Research Specialist for the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), a parastatal in Pretoria, South Africa. Before joining the HSRC he worked as a Chief Education Specialist for the Directorate of Private Higher Education in the national Department of Education in South Africa. He holds a Master of Education degree from the University of the Western Cape with a mini-thesis, titled "Towards a Contextual Analysis of Private - Public Higher Education in South Africa". His work experience includes working as a researcher of private higher education at the Education Policy Unit (EPU), University of the Western Cape. At the moment Mabizela's chief research interests are on the contribution of private higher education to South Africa's human resource development and public policy on private higher education vis-à-vis public higher education.
