Biography

Molly N.N.Lee, PhD (Stanford), is an Associate Professor in the School of Educational Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, Malaysia. She has published 4 monographs and over 30 articles on various topics on education in Malaysia such as higher education, science education, teacher education, and educational reforms. Her research interest on private higher education arises from her empirical studies of the newly emerging private education sector in Malaysia in the past decade. She was a Fulbright visiting scholar at the Centre for International Higher Education in Boston College, and a founding member in the Comparative Education Society Asia and Malaysia Educational Research Association. She has done consultancy work with various international agencies such as IDP Australia, Commonwealth Foundation and World Bank.
