Biography

Prachayani Praphamontripong is ABD at the University at Albany, SUNY and PROPHE Doctoral Research Associate. She received a B.Ed. 1st class honor from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and an M.S. Educational Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her dissertation topic is inter-sectoral and intra-sectoral institutional differentiation of Thai private and public higher education. Praphamontripong has worked as a principal of Praphamontree II School, a private K-12 bilingual school, and served on several government projects in Thailand. Praphamontripong has presented papers at PROPHE conferences in the U.S. and China and at professional conferences of the Association for the Study of Higher Education and the Comparative and International Education Society. Her research interests are on issues related to private higher education, including institutional differentiation, quality assurance, strategic planning, and policy development. Praphamontripong has been working with PROPHE mainly for analyses of data and law as well as global news reports.
