| Description: | Covered with white slip over entire surface, which is decorated in multiple checkerboard motifs in dark brown to black paint. At base, two groups of 2 broad lines intersect in a cross situated between a motif of 3 roughly concentric wavy lines on lower body. The cross is punctuated by 2 diagonal wavy lines intersecting at 45-degree angles. Above the base motif, the body is decorated on front and back by a checkerboard of alternating short and long rectangles. This device is broken below the handle join by a lattice of lozenges. A similar lattice runs from rim to base on the opposite side of the piece. The neck boasts a checkerboard pattern of short and long rectangles, broken by a wavy line behind the rising handle (decorated by zig-zag lines intersecting as lozenges). Alternating hatches and wavy lines adorn the rim. Horizontally pierced lug opposite handle at shoulder. |
