The focus of the Center is on the design, development, and delivery of coordinated, evidence-based services for families in the child welfare system with drug abuse and co-existing problems, especially HIV/AIDS.

CWDAIR’s specific aims are to:

The ultimate goal is to improve services for vulnerable families and children in the child welfare system, especially those affected by substance abuse and HIV/AIDS, in order to reduce the chance of intergenerational continuity of these multiple interrelated problems.
