Since 1984, CUYT has been involved in special projects designed to motivate the youth and parents that were part of our several programs. This projects were defined as special projects because of their technology and cultural significance to the students and staff in CUYT. Many of the projects were one shot and required special clearances to access the event or activity. These clearances generally took the form of press credentials, special federal clearances for press activities, passports, visas, and invitations to special functions.
In all events students were involved in getting access to an important event in time that they would not otherwise have been exposed to. This exposure was designed to make them aware of the possibilities that exist if they apply themselves and work with organizations that support them and their goals. All projects are news related and of interest to the African American and Hispanic community were these programs were held.
