National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering
(NACME)
TechForce 2000 Partnership
(1993 -PRESENT)
This partnership provides staff development and training for Math, Science
and Technology. We are responsible for creating a technology and teacher
training needs assessment and a technology training program for teachers.
The goal is to prepare teachers to integrate technology into their math
and science curricula, using existing technology that is in the schools.
We are now doing curriculum planning to integrate technology into a hands-on
science in four school in New York City. We have also presented the program
at NACME's last conference in Atlanta, Ga in 1995.
