
S. Neal Currie Jr. is the Technical and Administrative assistant for the Cyberhood Construction Project. A project designed to electronic link five sites in New York State who are apart of the NYS Department of Transportation's Youth Construction Initiative Program, a school to work program designed to encourage women and minorities to enter construction and technology based occupations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Siena College in Marketing And Management and a Masters degree in Africana Studies from the University at Albany. He is currently a Doctoral student in Curriculum Development and Instructional Design at the University at Albany. Prior to coming to The Center for Urban Youth and Technology (CUYT) he worked as the project coordinator for Albany I have a Dream program, a unique scholarship and drop-out prevention program for at-risk youth within the Albany, (NY) City school district. Neal is the former owner of the now defunct, Nubian Pathways Bookstore and Cultural Emporium, the capital district's first African centered bookstore. He resides in Albany, and is a devoted husband and father of two.
