Cleon Chung

Cleon

My name his Cleon Chung , I was born on the Island of Jamaica W.I. and lived there for ten and half years of my life. I later came to the U.S. where I experienced all four levels of the education system. I then attended then the junior college of Schenetady County. I later transferred to the University at Albany, where I majored in sociology and political science. My future plan, is to go graduate school where I plan to get a masters degree in education administration or the Education Theory and practice program.

During my extra time and winter recess I go back to my former high school Evander Childs, where I encourage students of color to further their education. I believe completing higher education is the biggest problem facing the Black community today. Other times, I sit around with people of West Indies background and discuss what problem are facing countries of the West Indies. We try to see what we can find as a solution and how we can help. Currently, I am working with Dr. Bowman and fellow students in CUYT, The Center For Urban Youths and Technology. There I learn more about technology and how it is being applied in the classroom. I've also learned a whole lot more about computers and the information highway. Myself as well as other students have worked on and put together websites.
