Research Focus on Black Education SIG of AERA

Goals and Functions of the Organization:

To increase Black participation in the exploration of educational concerns;

To provide a structure and forum within AERA for researchers and developers who focus on educational issues which impact on African American students, teachers and the community;

To promote interaction between knowledge producers and utilizers; and

To provide educational solutions and policy alternatives through systematic inquiry.
