To
Create positive alternatives for inner city youth and low to moderate income
families primarily of Hamilton Hill and the greater surrounding Schenectady
and Capital district communities.
Background
Founded
in 1982 to offer recreational alternatives to high risk youth in the Hamilton
Hill Schenectady neighborhood. First activity was basketball leagues
for young adults and youth ages 10 through 28. Basketball leagues
is still active approaching 18 consecutive year in 1999; basketball program
currently serves children and youth ages 6 to 16. Additional services
include:
