Sherry Winston


Raised in a family of musicians, flutist Sherry Winston's musical career began to take shape after graduating from
Howard University's College of Fine Arts.

She toured the country with her own band, which included a then-unknown pianist by the name of Robert Flack.  She has performed with a virtual "who's who" of musicians including Peabo Bryson, Regina Belle, Ramsey Lewis, Grover Washington Jr., Quincy Jones, and Phyllis Hyman.  Her Debut album "Do It For Love" went #1 on both the Black Recording Excellence chart and the Black Radio Exclusive Jazz chart.
 


 Her follow-up recording, "Love Madness" reached the top 10 on Billboard, and her third release, "Love is..." was nominated for two Grammy Awards.  In addition to being an acclaimed musician, composer, and entertainer, Sherry Winston has also achieved wide recognition as a sportswoman and businesswoman.
