"World Beat" is a relatively new expression relating to the blending of musical genres from all over the world.  It's a blending of the old with the new, the simple with the complex.  More importantly, it makes use of the common threat of rhythm that moves one to one's roots.  Pangaea has come together to celebrate some of the diverse world music traditions from the Caribbean to the Louisiana Delta and beyond.  Pangaea features both original music and the music of such well known artists as Bob Marley, Maxi Priest, UB40, Sade, Sting, and others who represent the growing spectrum of world music.
