A Popular pianist and vocalist, has played professionally for a number of years with several established groups.  Mr. Hameed began piano at he age of 6 and was intially taught by his older sister Barbara.  Mr. Hameed has an extensive background in gospel music and has played with area church choirs.  He is a composer and an arranger who has featured his compositons in various groups.  Mr. Hameed was co-founder of the Improvisational Workshop and served as the Musical Director.  He is currently teaching piano privately to students throughout the Capital District and remains a favorate in the area as a band leader and solo artist.  His music style incorporates a wide range of musical influences from classical and Gospel to R&B and Jazz.
