If you're receiving e-mail with attachments embedded in “application/ms-tnef” MIME content and you want access to the attachments, you can use a freeware called Funtun. If you are interested the cause of this problem, see this page for a good explanation.

You can download Fentun from above website and save a copy to your computer.

1. Download attachment to a folder

2. Go to the folder where the attachment is saved

3. Right Click the attachment file, click “Open With”, and then click “Choose Program”

4. Click “Browse” when below window prompts.

5. Go to the directory where Funtun is saved, select funtun.exe , and click “Open”

6. Click “OK” and check “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file”

7. Highlight the file, click “Extract As”, and save the file at a proper folder
