The site is, essentially, located on the on-ramp to the Northway (from westbound Western Ave.)

To get to the Center:

• Take the Northway south to the end (Western Ave./Route 20).
• Turn left onto Western Avenue.
• Go a short distance and turn left into the parking lot for 1535 Western. You will be crossing several lanes of traffic here so be careful! (Or take a safer option and pass 1535, turn left into Stuyvesant Plaza & then turn around and go back to 1535 and turn right into the parking lot.)

Parking: There is some parking in the front of the building and more parking in the rear of the building. Access to the public is through the front door only. The Child Research and Study Center occupies the right side of the building (as you are looking at it from Western Avenue).

Note on Leaving the Center: When leaving the parking lot, exit on the left side of the building (as you are looking at it from Western Avenue). There is a traffic signal to help you exit the parking lot. The signal is triggered by a (narrow) metal strip in the pavement. After your car rolls over the strip, the light will change within a minute or two. BE SURE TO CHECK TO YOUR LEFT BEFORE EXITING THE PARKING LOT because drivers entering the Northway sometimes do not realize that there is a signal on the ramp.
