Northeast Center for Special Care

A 280-bed Special Care transitional living program for individuals with brain injury, spinal cord injury and ventilator dependency.
Programs include a multi-level brain injury rehabilitation program, a secure neurobehavioral program and a step-down transitional behavioral program, spinal cord injury program, respiratory and cardio-pulmonary services, skilled nursing care and sub acute rehabilitation services. Our ventilator program is a leader in the weaning of individuals off of ventilators and reentry back to the community.
Our mission is the rehabilitation, recover and community reentry of the individuals we serve. This is done through our therapeutic community, programs and innovative rehabilitation. We offer therapies, volunteer work and community access. Our interdisciplinary teams include physicians, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, nurses and others. Northeast Center for Special Care welcomes students from all majors. We are located only a few minutes from the New York State Thruway with easy access and plenty of parking.
