CENTER FOR LAW AND JUSTICE, INC.
The Center monitors criminal justice and civil rights issues that directly affect primarily poor people, people of color and their communities. It is the mission of the Center to promote empowerment of the affected juvenile and criminal justice systems. Programs include criminal justice advocacy, community education and crime prevention. Students assist with the legal information and referral program, with initial screening of clients, follow-up contacts,
case management services, project-related activities, data base entry and telephone communications. Students may also assist with the crime prevention program by doing community outreach, working directly with clients and scheduling programs and activities.
