BETHESDA HOUSE OF SCHENECTADY, INC
A daytime hospitality and safe haven open to all. Bethesda House provides services to
the homeless, individuals with physical and/or mental disabilities, individuals with substance abuse issues, and the working poor.
Bethesda House serves approximately 150 - 225 guests daily. Bethesda House
offers a wide range of services to its guests including case management, legal
aid, and a free medical clinic on-site for individuals without health insurance.
All services offered at Bethesda House are free. Hours of operation are M-F
9:30 - 11: 30 am and 1 - 5 pm. Students would assist in a variety of guest
services and programs with the potential to develop and offer new programs.
Programs would include basic hospitality, reception, compiling forms for guests,
meal prep, case management and outreach to local businesses.
This placement is particularly appropriate for students majoring in human services and social welfare programs.
