ALBANY DAMIEN CENTER
The Albany Damien Center is a community center for individuals and families
living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Programs and activities offered are
designed to improve health, reduce stress, and increase quality of life. Community
and Public Service Program (CPSP) students will learn how to work with diverse populations
to improve overall health and quality of life in a drop-in AIDS Community
Center. They will also learn the fundamentals of not-for-profit management
and business operations. This is available to students in all majors, but
will benefit students who major in social work and business. Tasks can include office help; preparing and serving meals; maintaining the Thrift store; fundraising and guest assistance. Hourse are 11:am until 8:30 pm.
