ARBOR HILL COMMUNITY CENTER
The Center is a multi-service Organization, which provides a variety of neighborhood
services, such as after-school activities for children, HIV support groups,
and emergency food assistance to families. Students from different academic
disciplines will be offered opportunities to learn the varied aspects of neighborhood
service programs they are asked to be role models for children ages 5 - 18
years old. Tutoring, mentoring, facilitating HIV support groups, food pantry,
program evaluation, and fiscal management are among the possible assignments.
After-school activities include Homework Club, arts and crafts, game room
swimming, gym, karate, weightlifting, Step, etc. Hours are Monday through
Saturday from 4 pm until 9 pm. This is an appropriate placement for students in social welfare and education
