ALBANY CO. DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S COMMUNITY PROSECUTION UNIT

Community Prosecution is an alternative sentencing program that is run out of Albany City Court and the Town Courts of Bethlehem, Guilderland, and New Scotland. The goal is to expand to all Albany County Justice Courts. The UAlbany Community and Public Service Progam volunteers will help with arranging court mandated community service hours to satisfy verdicts issued in the Albany County Justice Courts. The CPSP student will also participate with preventative programs sponsored by the District Attorney's Office.
This experience is participarly appropriate for students majoring in sociology, criminal justice and social welfare..The program is administered from a satellite office at 289 Clinton Ave.
