April 18th 2009 was the first annual Great Danes Give Back event.  CPSP partnered with NYPIRG (New York Public Interest Research Group) to create a volunteer daywhere U Albany students teamed up to contribute time to one of 17 communitypartner sites throughout the Capital Region.  All organizations partnered with the CPSP were given the opportunity to submit projects for the event and roughly 90 students participated. 

Plans for 2010 are underway and include soliciting design ideas from students for a Great Danes Give Back logo, recruitment of more students and more partner projects.
