Mandatory Meeting for New Majors - Thursday, September 30th

All students admitted to the communication major for fall 2010 are expected to attend.  You must have received confirmation by email you have been admitted to the major before you can attend this meeting.  At this meeting you will select an advisor, learn how to register for communication courses (be sure to sign up for your advising appointment!), learn about the internship program for majors, and learn about special programs and other useful information.  It is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the major. The meeting will be held on:

Thursday, September 30th, from 5:45-7:00 pm in LC 21

If you cannot make this meeting, you should contact Debbie in the Communication Department office to schedule a makeup meeting.

Advanced Registration Planning Appointments

It will soon be time to sign up for registration planning appointments for spring 2011!  Advanced registration will take place during the week of October 11th.  Sign up sheets will go up the week of September 13th.  During our registration planning appointments you will obtain permisson numbers for up to two Communication classes.  You MUST sign up for a registration planning appointment on the appropriate sign-up sheets outside SS 351 in order to receive permission numbers for Communication courses.  Permission numbers are released on a first-come/first-served basis until each course is closed, so the earlier you sign up the better.    

General Announcements

Winter Commencement - Sunday, December 5th, 2010

University-wide winter commencement will be held on Sunday, December 5th at 1:00 p.m. in the SEFCU Arena.  The ceremony will include both summer and fall 2010 Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral candidates.  The duration of the ceremony is approximately 2 hours.  Doors open at noon and the ceremony begins promptly at 1:00 pm.
