Interested in majoring in Communication?
We are now accepting applications for Fall 2016 admission to the Communication major. To be considered, a student must take Com 100 and an approved logic/statistics class. Admission to the major requires a minimum of a C- in the two required entry courses. All student with an average of B or better are guaranteed acceptance in the semester they apply. Details here.
Assistant Professor Nicolas Bencherki and MA student James P. Snack recently published a paper in Management Communication Quarterly where they criticize the way organizational communication researchers tend to emphasize the interpretations “members” make of their organization.

Alum talk: steps to make a career in TV
COM alum Steve Greenstein '94, founder of Squad 47 Films, returned to campus on Oct. 8 to speak to students about his experience getting into the TV business and what kinds of careers exist after graduation.
Fall 2016 advisement
Advisement will be held in early March prior to the start of Summer/Fall '16 registration on March 21, which begins after spring break. COM majors and minors will be contacted via email to sign up for advisement. When the schedules are available we will post them online on our Forms / Schedules page.
