Interested in majoring in Communication?
We are now accepting applications for Fall 2014 admission to the Communication major. To be considered, a student must take Com 100 and a logic/statistics class. Students who average a B between those 2 courses are automatically admitted. Details here.
Welcome new majors!
Congratulations to 105 UAlbany students and 16 transfer students who were just admitted to the Communication major for Spring 2014. Welcome!
A health initiative overseen by Dr. Annis Golden and Dr. Matthew Matsaganis, along with Professor Emerita Anita Pomerantz. has helped the University earn a place on the 2013 U.S. President’s Higher Education Honor Roll as well as UAlbany's 2013 President's Awards for Exemplary Community Engagement.

Ph.D. student Roger Gans' paper "The Politics of HPV Vaccination Advocacy: Effects of Source Expertise on Effectiveness of a Pro-Vaccine Message" was recognized as the top graduate student paper presented at the 71st annual NYSCA conference (Oct. 18-20).
