November 4
Grad Fest in the Bookstore Atrium. Your opportunity to purchase regalia, diploma covers, class rings and other commencement items and to address all of your commencement needs. Regalia for Bachelor and Master's degree candidates on sale through December 7.
November 15 Last day for Ph.D. candidates to purchase custom regalia through the University Bookstore.
November 17 Doctoral recipients must notify Joanne Baronner, in the Office of Graduate Studies, of plans to attend Commencement.
November 24
Last day to rent Ph.D. regalia through the University Bookstore.
December 7 University-wide Graduate & Undergraduate ceremony begins promptly at 1pm in the SEFCU Arena (RACC).
December 8
Rental regalia must be returned to the University Bookstore.
Winter Commencement Information
Ceremonies Scheduled
I. University-wide Graduate & Undergraduate Ceremony
Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. indoors at the SEFCU Arena.
Students should arrive 1 hour prior (12:00 p.m.) to the start time of the ceremony and report to the gym in the Physical Education building for assembly. Factor 15 minutes in to your arrival time to find parking and make your way to the building. Students will line up by school with the assistance of University staff and volunteers.
Each student’s name will be read and they will cross the stage to receive their certificate of participation. Official diplomas and final transcripts will be mailed after final grades are recorded, approximately 6-8 weeks after commencement. This ceremony will last approximately 1.5 hours.
II. Tickets
All family and friends wishing to attend the ceremony are required to have tickets. Each student will be alloted a limited number of tickets. Any extra tickets will be made available to students on a first come first served basis on a date to be determined. A wait list will not be maintained for additional tickets. Information regarding ticket distribution will be available here on October 13.
