Faculty and staff are invited and strongly encouraged to participate in all of the ceremonies and activities that take place during Spring Commencement Weekend. Volunteers are critical to the success of Spring Commencement Weekend.

Each year, an estimated 14,000 parents, students, families and friends converge on UAlbany’s campus to enjoy their graudates' capstone experience. This calls for a University-wide commitment of staff resources including the support of more than 200 volunteers to make the weekend a success. This is your chance to step away from your desk and out of the classroom to interact with your students, their parents, colleagues and alumni in the greatest event in a student's academic career.
