Faculty and staff are invited and encouraged to participate in the commencement exercises. Volunteers are critical to the success of Commencement.

Each year, thousands of  parents, students, families and friends converge on UAlbany's campus to enjoy their graduates' capstone experience.  This calls for a University-Wide commitment of staff resources including the support of more than 100 volunteers to make the weekend a success. This is your chance to step away from the desk and out of the classroom to interact with your students, their parents, colleagues and alumni in the greatest event in a student's academic career.
