Participation

Faculty may participate in one of the following ways:

1. "Marching" (Non-Hooding) Faculty
   Marching faculty will take part in the processional and be seated on stage. Please RSVP by April 15. To reserve your seat on stage, simply email Commencement: and include the ceremony that you will attend and your electronic business card. 
2. Hooding Faculty
   Hooding a doctoral candidate? Please contact Joanne Baronner, in the office of Graduate Studies for further detail.

Assembly time, location, and further detail will be sent via email, two weeks prior to the ceremony date to faculty who have submitted an RSVP.

Regalia

Regalia will be provided free of charge for faculty without their own set. Please contact Sue Brayman (formerly DeRocco) via email with the following information: full name; campus address; phone; department; order needs (cap, gown, hood); gender; height; highest degree; field; awarding institution and whether you prefer to pick-up or have your order delivered. Representatives from the Bookstore will be in contact with you regarding delivery dates/times. Regalia orders placed will NOT be available for pick-up onsite, the day of the ceremony.

April 15: If you wish to include a hood from your alma mater.
All orders placed after this date will be supplied with a UAlbany hood.
April 29: The last day rental requests will be accepted.

* You may also purchase custom tailored regalia. Owning your own regalia frees you from ordering and returning countless rentals. If you are interested in purchasing your own regalia contact the University Bookstore for more information.
