  • Bachelor’s degree candidates should report to the Physical Education building by 9:00 a.m., sharp, dressed in their regalia and ready to assemble in the gymnasium in the PE building. • Students will be assigned a group number (1-4) based upon their academic major. Group numbers will determine which line you are assigned to. Volunteers will be on site to assist you into the correct line. Groups 1 & 2 process out of the PE building around the West side of the football field and sit in the first two sections on the west side of the lawn (as marked on the diagram). Groups 3 & 4 will process to around the East side of the football field and sit in the first two sections on the East side of the lawn, closest to the stage. All lines will be lead by Marshals who will guide the procession. When majors are assigned to groups and posted on the web (April 1st), you may share this information with your family and friends so that they have an idea of which side of the lawn you will process in from and which section you will sit.
  • The procession will begin from the PE building to the library lawn at approximately 9:35 a.m.  Volunteer staff will initiate the beginning of the procession from inside the gymnasium.
  • Promptly at 10:00 a.m., the procession will enter the library lawn. The ceremony itself will last approximately 1 hour.

Please do not bring cellular phones, pagers or other electronic devices to the ceremony. If you must have them with you, please be sure that they are turned off. Remember this is a special moment for you and your family, as well as for all of your classmates. Please respect and enjoy each moment of it.
