Ruth recently rejoined the CHSR (after a 10 year hiatus) and is currently working on the Medicaid Redesign Team Supportive Housing Evaluation

During her 15 years of experience as a New York State licensed social worker, Ruth has worked with children and their families in the school, clinic and rehabilitation settings supporting families through a crisis, coordinating services, providing crisis and ongoing counseling and helping to transition youth back into their communities. As a researcher, Ruth has been involved with behavioral health and social science research at both the federal and state level overseeing many aspects of data collection and use, database management as well as study oversight and management. Some of the projects she has worked on have included: The national evaluation of the Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and their Families Program (CMHI), NYSUT Safe restraint for school personnel, Family Resource Center Evaluation, Child Care Project and other projects with Homeless and Travelers Aid, Advocates for Human Potential, and the Northeast HIV Prevention Network.

Ruth obtained her undergraduate degree from SUNY Purchase and her graduate degree in Social Work from the University at Albany and is a licensed social worker.
