Domestic Violence Homicide Prevention Initiative

Evaluation & Research

The Demonstration Initiative was designed to support 12 grantees to conduct a one-year community assessment of their response to domestic violence. The assessment involved the identification of strengths and weaknesses in the community’s response to domestic violence, as well as the collection of a predetermined set of baseline data. The assessment was designed to inform any future use of the Jacquelyn Campbell Danger Assessment Tool and subsequent implementation of the Maryland Lethality Assessment Program or the Greater Newburyport High Risk Team, two models designed to prevent domestic violence homicides and serious injuries.
