The CELL is located in room CH 215 and is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Chemistry Electronic Learning Library (CELL) was created in 1995 under the directorship of Professor Bernard Laurenzi and has since been maintained with the financial support of alumnus Dr. Alan T. LeFor.
Situated on the second floor of the Chemistry building, the CELL is aesthetically pleasing and offers maximum comfort. It houses 22 PCs and offers nearly two hundred programs for plotting data, sending e-mail, accessing the internet, tutoring, organic and physical chemistry, 2D and 3D molecular modeling, word processing, and presentations. This software is also accessible 24/7 any place connected to the university ethernet.
Many of the lower division courses have integrated the CELL and its software into their curricula. When using the CELL as a classroom, faculty can broadcast any material appearing on a console PC to all of the other PC's within the room, including multimedia presentations.
