POSTDOCTORAL POSITION OPEN

Prof. Marina A. Petrukhina Research Group

The NSF-Career grant-supported post-doctoral position in synthetic inorganic/organometallic chemistry is open in Prof. Petrukhina's group at the Department of Chemistry, University at Albany , State University of New York. The position is available from January 2010 for 1 year initially with possible extension. Candidates with a Ph. D in inorganic chemistry with strong synthetic background are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications: Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry, sufficient publication record. Preferred candidates should have broad expertise in synthesis of inorganic and organometallic complexes of main-group, d-transition or lanthanide metals using Schlenk and glove-box techniques, and show promise as independent investigators. Experience in synthesis of organic ligands is a plus.
