Message from Governor Andrew M. Cuomo

Governor Andrew M. CuomoThere’s no denying it – from extreme weather to terror and technological threats, New York State is facing new challenges every day, and we need to be prepared.

That’s what the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity is all about. It is the first college of its kind, and I believe that it will play a fundamental role in both keeping New Yorkers safe, and in helping other communities around the globe rise to meet the challenges of the future.

The College’s students have the chance to study with some of the best and brightest minds in everything from public health and international affairs to law enforcement, forensics and counterterrorism. I encourage them to leave no stone unturned and to learn everything they can during their academic career – because with their help, we will continue to keep New York safe and strong for years to come.
