Introduction

Vladimir Kuperman joined the Department of Computer Science as a professor of practice in Fall 2017 after more than twenty years of teaching and research on computer technologies and the global economy. He comes to us from his faculty position in the Department of Economics and Business, Tula State Leo Tolstoy University in Tula, Russia. Prior to joining the department as a full-time faculty member, Professor Kuperman was an adjunct instructor for the department, as well as, for UAlbany’s School of Business and Siena College. Professor Kuperman is one of the faculty members who will be teaching in our dual degree program with the Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications in China. He was awarded the Doctor of Science in Economics, the highest academic degree in Russia, from the Supreme Attestation Committee of Ministry of Education of Russia in 2000, and earned a PhD. in Computer Science from Moscow Mendeleyev University of Chemical Technology in 1992.
