Applying as an International Student

The University at Albany welcomes graduate students from around the world, annually enrolling approximately 1,000 students representing nearly 80 nations. As a graduate student at UAlbany, you’ll join a vibrant and talented community of international scholars in a diversity of fields and professions.

UAlbany’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) provides an ideal learning environment for international students to:

  • Earn advanced degrees in computer science and information science (Computer engineering graduate programs are in development. More information below.);
  • Learn from some of the leading scholars and researchers in the field of information technology, artificial intelligence and library services; and
  • Complete masters or doctoral degree programs go on to pursue careers as researchers, educators, or leading policy positions.

Specific application information for international applicants is available through that office. The Office of Graduate Education also provides international students with information on required testing, cost of attendance and the services and resources available for international students.
