Employment Opportunities in the College of Computing and Information

The College of Computing and Information is one of nine schools and colleges within the University at Albany-SUNY (UAlbany). Strategically located in the state capital of New York, UAlbany is an internationally recognized public research institution that brings "The World Within Reach" to more than 17,300 students at the graduate and undergraduate levels. UAlbany is close to the metropolitan centers of New York City, Boston, and Montreal as well as centrally located between the Catskills and the Adirondacks; the region provides abundant opportunities for outdoor recreation.

Currently, UAlbany is making a major investment in its capacity to conduct research, educate the next generation of information professionals, and prepare early career students to find employment in the areas of cyber security, “big data” analytics, and government information strategy and management. Through several faculty hires at the assistant, associate, and full professor rank in the Departments of Informatics and Computer Science, and related hires in the Departments of Public Administration and Policy (Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy), we are poised to build on UAlbany’s current international reputation for excellence in this area, as reflected in the University’s #3 ranking for Information Technology and Management in US News and World Report’s public sector rankings, and to extend our research and teaching into new areas. Faculty members hired in the searches outlined below will join an interdisciplinary cohort that spans the cooperating departments and key research institutes.
