Currently, UAlbany is making a major investment in its capacity to conduct research, educate the next generation of information professionals, and prepare early career students to find employment in the areas of cyber security, “big data” analytics, and government information strategy and management. Through several faculty hires at the assistant, associate, and full professor rank in the Departments of Informatics and Computer Science, and related hired in the Departments of Public Administration and Policy (Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy) and Mathematics and Statistics (College of Arts & Sciences), we are poised to build on UAlbany’s current international reputation for excellence in this area, as reflected in the University’s #3 ranking for Information Technology and Management in US News and World Report’s public sector rankings, and to extend our research and teaching into new areas. Faculty members hired in the searches outlined below will form an interdisciplinary cohort that will span the cooperating departments and key research institutes.
Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with and instruct a culturally diverse population. Review of applications will begin January 15, 2014 and will continue until the positions are filled.
