Guidelines on the use of personal equipment. CAS Computing cannot support privately-owned equipment whether used on-campus or off.
Faculty and staff can use personally-owned equipment on campus and connect it to the network by registering it once connected through the Network Registration System. For a student's personally-owned equipment, it must be registered by a faculty/staff member. Alternatively faculty, staff, and students can connect to the University's wireless network.
Privately-owned equipment will not be added to the College's LAN. Therefore, network shares can be mapped manually. For directions on how to manually map a network drive, please look at our FAQ or Tutorials section of the site.
