  • May 2014 Commencement & Recognition Ceremonies

    Over 1,300 students from the College of Arts and Sciences participated in Commencement Weekend events. In addition to the University Graduate and Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies, academic departments hold their own smaller ceremonies to recognize their graduates, faculty, alumni, and recipients of awards and honors.

     


  • The 11th Annual Ice Cream Social

    This highly anticipated event was held on May 20, 2014, in appreciation of the excellent work that faculty and staff do throughout the year. Over 130 people attended the Ice Cream Social to celebrate and reflect on the accomplishments of the past year, as well as to relax for a bit among colleagues and friends after the demanding final exam period. 


  • Celebrating Authors & Artists in the College of Arts & Sciences

    Dean Edelgard Wulfert hosted the 7th Biennial College of Arts and Sciences Authors & Artists Reception on April 1, 2014, in the Standish Room of the Science Library. The event is held every other year and features work recently published and/or produced by authors and artists in the College. Over 50 faculty members were celebrated for their publications and artistic accomplishments.


  • University in the High School honored for 30 years of community engagement

    The program, managed by the College of Arts and Sciences, provides affordable opportunities for students to earn college credit while in high school.


  • Professors emeriti appointed to Dean's Advisory Board

    Lawrence Snyder and Ron Bosco, both former faculty members in the College, have joined the Dean's Advisory Board in the College of Arts and Sciences. As members, they will serve as advocates for the College mission and its commitment to a quality liberal arts education.
