Neil Volk is a recipient of the 2008 Chancellors Award for Student Excellence. A recent graduate from the Biology department, Neil has served as a member of the Student Association for three and a half years, including holding the positions of Vice President, Chief of Staff, Programming Director and Senator. He has served on the board of directors of Dipikill, which is a retreat in the Adirondack Mountains owned and operated by the Student Association of the University at Albany.
During his four years at UAlbany, Neil has worked as a Colonial Quad Wellness Specialist. He is a member of the Presidential Honors society and Phi Beta Kappa. Neil has been recognized for Excellence in Undergraduate Research for the research he conducted with Dr. Caro-Beth Stewart. Additionally, he has received awards for Outstanding Senior and for his leadership in the University tutoring program.
Starting in August 2008 Neil will be attending Stony Brook University School of Medicine to pursue a career in medicine.
