African Monsoon Multidisciplinary Analysis (AMMA) Conference

 


Professor Christopher Thorncroft (center) along with two graduate students (Matt Janiga (left) and Mike Ventrice (right)) attended the 3rd International African Monsoon Multidisciplinary Analysis (AMMA) Conference held in Ouagadougou, Bukina Faso. AMMA is an international project concerned with improving our knowledge and understanding of the West African weather and climate including how this impacts society. Chris Thorncroft was the co-chair of the Scientific Organising Committee for the Conference and gave three talks. Matt Janiga gave his first Conference talk.
