CAS Chairs Get Oriented

The annual CAS Chairs Orientation meeting was held September 9, 2009 at the Alumni House. Dean Edelgard Wulfert informed the new and continuing Chairs about the responsibility and authority that comes with leading an academic unit. The Chairs spent some time in small groups dicussing issues involved with managing the academic program and keeping high quality faculty motivated and productive. The all day session included a presentation by Kevin Williams, Chair of Psychology, about Learning Outcomes and Department Assessment. Dean Wulfert ended the afternoon session with a review of what is new for the coming year. [More pictures below]
