The annual CAS Chairs Retreat was held August 24, 2011 at the Alumni House. Dean Edelgard Wulfert met first with the new Chairs to discuss the responsibility and authority that comes with leading an academic unit. The new Chairs also were oriented to the various resources and support provided by the Dean’s Office. Returning Chairs joined the group later in the morning. In the afternoon, ITLAL engaged the group through an interactive presentation. Dr. Tamra Minor from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion also spoke with the Chairs. The all-day session concluded with a discussion of the College’s research portfolio. Dean Wulfert ended the afternoon session with a review of what is new for the coming year.
