Michael Werner, Professor in the Art Department at the University at Albany, has been awarded a Fulbright Scholarship for the 2011-12 academic year. He will be conducting research on the interpretation and presentation of a group of Roman archaeological sites in Serbia. The project will include an evaluation of each archaeological site combined with the practical tourist information to be presented in an internationally disseminated guide book for the Cultural Route of the Roman Emperors in Serbia. The project will be executed in collaboration with Professor Bojan Zečević, Economics Faculty, Belgrade University. As a Roman archaeologist with international expertise on the Balkan provinces of the Roman Empire, Professor Werner will provide the required advice and guidance to assist in the promotion of the cultural heritage to Europe and the West.
