The
concept of Fellows is a venerable one
in many international academic institutions.
The formation of the CAS Fellows is the
direct result of a recommendation in the
2003-2008 College Strategic Plan where
fellows are defined as individuals “who
have taken an interest in the College
and wish to enjoy the stimulation of intellectual
discussion that only the liberal arts
and sciences can provide.” Our concept
of the relation between Fellows and the
College is one of intellectual and cultural
reciprocity. Fellows may, for example,
regularly attend lectures, discussions,
plays, film screenings, or exhibits. In
addition, special lectures or other events
will be organized each year by the College
of Arts and Sciences to honor its Fellows.
Our goal is to provide an avenue for CAS
Fellows to become more engaged with the
College.
Below
is a list of 2006-07 College Fellows.
