When you choose a major you should consider; what you like to do, what you are good at, and what you want to do when you graduate.
If you know what you want to do after graduation you should research that career to see if it requires a certain major or degree. If it doesn't, look at what skills you will need to develop and choose a major that will help you develop those skills.
If you don’t know what you want to do – or if there are many majors that will help you reach your career goal, choose something that you find interesting. If you enjoy it you are more likely to do well. You may want to take a few different classes to see which you enjoy the most. You can also talk to professors and professionals in different career fields to explore your interests
If you really don’t know what you want to do, schedule an appointment with a career counselor to discuss your options.
