International Symposium at UAlbany Centers on Work of French Writer, Feminist
ALBANY, N.Y. (April 20, 2007) -- The University at Albany is hosting a two-day international symposium, "Hélène Cixous: Written Initials - Ultimate Plays," beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23 in the Science Library Standish Room.
Cixous, a philosopher, essayist and novelist, will join nine internationally-known scholars to address and discuss Cixous' work. She will also provide a keynote address at 3 p.m. Monday, April 23 and a public reading at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 24 in the Campus Center Assembly Hall.
The symposium is open to the public. There is a $50 registration fee. It is free to UAlbany students, staff and faculty.
