Robin Campbell has worked as Curator for the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Sites since 1979. In addition to an undergraduate degree in art history from Catholic University, she holds an MA and Ph.D. from the University at Albany in history. She has taught courses at the Cooperstown Graduate Program and the University at Albany.
She is a board member of the Costume Society of America. Her most recent book, Mistresses of the Transient Hearth: American Army Officers' Wives and Material Culture, 1840-1880, was published by Routledge in 2005.
